I like this product because the Oxo BBQ glove is well made and keeps my hands safe.

I like to protect my hands when I cook outdoor especially if I’m working with dutch ovens or cast iron. But, I keep my Oxo Good Grips mitts close by even when I’m grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. Call me a wimp, but I do not like to burn my hands or forearms.

Won’t Any Cooking Mitt Work?

You can use your kitchen hand mitts to barbecue, but you wreck them fast if you use kitchen gloves outdoors and especially if you’re a charcoal griller. Not only do the kitchen gloves get filthy, they also burn through in spots and usually the spots where you touch something hot. OUCH!

I discovered long ago that real grill gloves or grill mitts area a wise investment. They are made to stand high heat (up to 600 degrees with the Oxo mitts), and they are made of materials that don’t stain and look gross after one grilling.

What’s Special About Oxo Grill Gloves?

Oxo Good Grips grill gloves provide good coverage and run up almost to my elbows. In fact, they are a little large for females. I end up with some extra finger space at the end of the barbecue gloves.

The mitten style on the barbecue gloves mean that you can use the Oxo on either hand. Just flip it over. You may want two, but most grillers can get by with one.

The lower part of the grill glove had rubber type non-slip ridges which prevent things from slipping out of your hand.

Inside the grill glove is soft and cushie. It feels nice when you’re wearing it.

At the top of the glove is a little ring for hanging it up, but there’s also a small magnet, so the glove can be stuck to metal like the grill housing box.

I turned my people on to Oxo grill gloves, and they have been most impressed. My brother said a lady he works with saw his and liked it so much that she wanted my Yes You Can Grill URL, so she could buy a grill glove too.
